Premier Meade Urges Stronger Regional Ties and Fair CARICOM Support for Montserrat
Montserrat’s leader of government business is doubling down on the need for regional leaders to build meaningful relationships with each other.
Premier, the Honourable Reuben T Meade, was on the latest “What’s on Your Mind” radio programme, following the 48th Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government.
He provided updates to the public on the discussions that were held and decisions taken at the summit.
Premier Meade spoke extensively on why his call for true regional integration and the inclusion of Montserrat in CARICOM funding allocations, was important.
Premier Meade said discussions were held with leaders from Barbados, Guyana, and Trinidad & Tobago for Montserrat to receive much-needed assistance in sectors such as health, culture and agriculture.
