Essential Services at the Glendon Hospital Relocated to Former Magretson Memorial Home
The Ministry of Health and Social Services has announced the relocation of several essential services from Glendon Hospital.
Effective March 18, 2025, hospital services to include the Pharmacy, Laboratory, Medical Records Department, Office of the Hospital Nursing Manager, and the Dietary (Kitchen) Department will move to the former Margetson Memorial Home.
This move which is critical to the New National Hospital Development Project, allows for the necessary demolition of existing structures to make way for the long-anticipated healthcare facility.
To facilitate the transition, the Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Medical Records Departments will be closed to the public on Friday, March 14, 2025.
The Ministry in a press release urges individuals to ensure they have a sufficient supply of medication ahead of the closure. Emergency services will still be available through the Glendon Hospital Casualty Department.
