Premier Reuben T. Meade Urges Action on Key Provisions of Montserrat Constitution to Benefit Residents
Montserrat’s leader of government business has outlined the need for the island to focus on what he describes as “really good provisions” within the Constitution Order 2010.
But, Premier, the Honourable Reuben T. Meade said that it is up to authorities here to action those provisions.
He was at the time addressing the annual Montserrat conference that took place last Saturday.
Premier Meade, who spoke on the theme “From Framework to Function: the Role of a Constitution in Shaping Societies”, was one of several high-profile speakers on the online event.
He revealed some of the key provisions in the Constitution from which residents of Montserrat could benefit.
