Montserratians Celebrate Former Chief Minister Percival Austin Bramble’s 94th Birthday

Montserratians both at home and in the diaspora on Friday January 24, showered Former Chief Minister of Montserrat Percival Austin Bramble with best wishes as he celebrated his 94th birthday.

Wishes were channeled through Radio Montserrat, whatsapp and other social media platforms.

Mr Bramble is the only surviving head of government many years ago who signed the Treaty of Chaguaramas which established the Caribbean Community, CARICOM.

The other leaders/prime ministers, Errol Barrow of Barbados, Guyana’s Forbes Burnham, Michael Manley of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago’s Eric Williams were the other signatories to the treaty which was signed on July 1973. Mr Bramble signed the founding document on April 17, 1974.
