Helping hands for Glendon Charity Teams Up with US-Based Bridge of Life Foundation to Further Plans for a Dialysis Unit in Montserrat

Helping hands for Glendon Charity is teaming up with a United States-based organization to bring a dialysis unit in Montserrat closer to reality.

President of the charity Nurse Brenda Daley says the charity has engaged the services of Christopher Atwater of the Bridge of Life Foundation in Denver Colorado to do an assessment.

Mr. Atwater spent the week meeting with key government officials and other stakeholders on the possibility of setting up the renal dialysis facility on island.

Mr. Atwater explains that his assessment has shown positive results so far.

Bridge of Life is an independent public charity founded by DaVita Inc.

The international nonprofit organization works to strengthen healthcare globally through sustainable programs that prevent and treat chronic disease. 

Ms. Daley explains the critical importance of having a renal dialysis unit on the island.
