Lovetta Silcott Appointed to Board of Directors of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions
The St. Patrick’s Co-operative Credit Union Limited has announced that its President, Lovetta Silcott, was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions (CCCU).
The Credit Union observes that the appointment is a testament to Ms. Silcott's exceptional leadership and dedication to the Credit Union movement and the island of Montserrat.
It says Silcott brings over a decade of experience in the Corporate Governance, Legal and Financial Regulatory Services Management to her new role on the CCCU Board.
As President of the SPCCU, she leads a diverse, experienced and competent team whose focus is in driving the credit union’s growth, innovation, and commitment to member service.
According to the indigenous institution her expertise and vision will not only benefit the local community but have also set a high standard within the broader credit union sector.
Ms. Silcott says she is honored and excited to join the Board of Directors of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions, and that this opportunity allows her to contribute to the advancement and integration of credit unions across the Caribbean.
She says she is looking forward to working with her fellow CCCU Board members to strengthen our cooperative values and enhance the financial well-being of our members.
The CCCU is the regional trade and development organization for credit unions in the Caribbean, representing over 2 million members.

Silcott’s appointment to the Board is a significant and historical achievement for St. Patrick’s Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. as it is the first time in over a decade that a representative from the Montserrat Credit Union movement is appointed to the regional body.
