Montserrat’s CARICOM Youth Ambassador Joins Premier at CDB Annual Meeting

Montserrat’s CARICOM Youth Ambassador and member of the CDB Future Leaders Network, Dr. Tiffannie Skerritt is representing the island at the 54th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Ottawa, Canada.

A key event on the agenda at the meeting will be the Youth for Innovation and Resilience (Youth FIRE) Programme convened under the theme: Empowered Youth – Partners in Resilient Prosperity.

Dr. Skerritt is carded to participate in the closing ceremony of the forum.

This Programme is an intervention for empowering Caribbean youth, equipping them to address prevailing challenges and capitalize on the opportunities.

Areas of focus will include sustainable energy, resilient infrastructure, peaceful societies, citizen security, peacebuilding, and economic empowerment including entrepreneurship.

The event will bring together the Bank’s highest decision-making body, thought leaders, innovators, academics, business leaders, policymakers, and government officials for vital discussions to address issues pivotal to sustainable development efforts in the Caribbean Region.
