Montserrat Tourism Authority Announces Appointment of New Product Development Officer

The Montserrat Tourism Authority (MTA) has announced the appointment of Mrs. Nicole Fagan as the new Product Development Officer.

Her role at the MTA will involve developing and promoting authentic, sustainable tourism products that not only highlight Montserrat’s landscapes, sites and attractions but also celebrates the island’s vibrant traditions, local artisanship, and culinary heritage.

Reflecting on her new role, Fagan says her aim is to foster sustainable tourism that preserves the environment while celebrating Montserrat’s cultural identity. She hopes to cultivate a deeper connection between the people and the natural habitat by promoting a more mindful and responsible approach to tourism.

Chief Executive Officer of the MTA, Rosetta West-Gerald, says tourism is pleased to welcome Nicole Fagan to their team, praising Fagan’s innovative ideas and dedication to sustainable tourism practices. Gerald also expressed confidence in Fagan’s work, saying she will not only elevate Montserrat’s tourism offerings but also strengthen connections with the community.

Fagan is a graduate of the University of Northampton and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Development. She has a wealth of experience, particularly in initiatives that champion youth, community, and sports development. 

Fagan brings a fresh vision to the MTA, aimed at creating tourism experiences that honor Montserrat’s unique heritage while fostering economic growth and environmental stewardship.
