Former Premier calls for Action to Address Dire Socio-Economic Situation on Island

A former Premier now opposition member of parliament is reiterating an earlier call for the leaders of the day to play a more crucial role in Montserrat’s future socio economic development.

Honourable Donaldson Romeo highlights that the island is allowed to meander along with little or no direction.

He argues that 'the political', and therefore 'governance', in particular, must take on new networked forms, rooted in collective action to pull Montserrat out of the dire situation in which it finds itself.
