Montserrat holds Breadfruit & Mango Festival this week
Montserrat’s second Breadfruit and Mango Festival will be held from August 23rd through 25th.
This festival, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Housing, and the Environment (MALHE), is meant to showcase mango and breadfruit food products through various seminars, as well as food and quiz competitions.
The event is also seen as a learning opportunity for the public as they will be taught how to care for breadfruit and mango trees, and learn about the versatility of these foods.
Speaking on the breakfast show Tuesday, Agriculture Development Specialist, Dr. Kevin Crooks, expressed his excitement for the festival
Dr Crooks also encouraged the public to come out and enjoy themselves. He also gave a brief rundown of the festival’s events.
