Government Announces Another Electricity Relief Package

The Government of Montserrat has announced another Electricity Bill Fiscal Relief Package for the residents of Montserrat.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Communications, Works, Labour and Energy, MCWLE, a total of one million, five hundred and one thousand, eight hundred dollars will be distributed to Montserrat Utilities Ltd- MUL, with each household on Montserrat to receive a$600 credit to go towards their electricity bill.

This relief package will be applied as of April 2023 and will be the second time the government has provided fiscal relief for energy bills here.

The first time was in October 2022, where the $1.5million EC dollars was spent.
