Former Police Commissioner Calls for Aligned Police and Pensions Act
Former Police Commissioner Steve Foster believes both the Police Act and the Pensions Act should be aligned.
He was responding to a question by Senior Announcer Basil Chambers on the unexpected announcement of the retirement of several police officers recently.
Although declining to be drawn into the topic, Mr. Foster said the matter will be addressed.
Meantime Mr. Foster stated that contrary to statements that were made, the RMPS has a proper succession plan in place, updated as recently as 2022.
