WARRANT OFFICER CLASS 2 JEMRON DELPLESCHE HONOURED WITH CARIBBEAN CADET MEDAL (CCM)

In a ceremony held on Saturday, 18 November 2023, Warrant Officer Class 2 Jemron Delplesche was officially invested with the Caribbean Cadet Medal (CCM) by Captain (R) Peter W A White, OBE, ED, CCM. The investiture, held on behalf of Commanding Officer Captain Colin Fergus, took place at Brades, Montserrat.

Capt Fergus, unable to be present at the ceremony, expressed his utmost appreciation for WO2 Delplesche's exceptional 22 years of exemplary volunteering service to the regional cadet movement. Capt (R) Peter W A White, in representing Capt Fergus, highlighted WO2 Delplesche's unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions to both the St Vincent and the Grenadines Cadet Force (SVGCF) and the Montserrat Cadet Corps (MCC).

Warrant Officer Delplesche's commendable service, spanning 18 years with the SVGCF and an additional four years with the MCC, was acknowledged during the investiture. As Company Training Officer, he played a pivotal role in planning and executing numerous training exercises, showcasing strategic foresight and leadership.

Beyond routine duties, WO2 Delplesche's involvement in crucial operations and projects, such as relief efforts in Grenada post-Hurricane Ivan in 2003 and his role as the Project Coordinator for the SVGCF Behavior Change Communication project, were highlighted.

His distinguished service to the regional cadet movement was further emphasised, with participation in the Caribbean Cadet Camp (CCC) over multiple years, including key roles in 2008 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and 2023 in Jamaica. WO2 Delplesche's commitment to broader regional cooperation is evident through his participation in various camps and exchange programs.

In 2007, WO2 Delplesche successfully completed his officers' training during the Potential Cadet Officers Course in Barbados, facilitated by the Barbados Cadet Corps and Barbados Defence Force. His impact also extends beyond borders, with a vital role as an assistant training officer at the 2012 Dominica Cadet Corps Annual Training Camp.

Currently, WO2 Delplesche continues his regional impact on the cadet movement as the newest Adult Instructor with the Virgin Island Cadet Corps in the British Virgin Islands, where he now works and resides.
