Montserrat’s government pledges to work with fishers on island to ensure their needs are met.
The Government of Montserrat has pledged to work with fishers to ensure their needs are met.
That was a promise made by the acting minister for Communications, Works, Labour and Energy Honourable Veronica Dorsette Hector.
She was speaking at the official ceremony to handover 15 trailers to fisherfolk, affected by the ongoing Port Development Project.
Mrs Dorsette-Hector stated that it was important that their concerns are addressed.

The boat trailers were supplied under the auspices of the Montserrat Port Development Project to fisher folks who do not have trailers to retrieve and launch their fishing boats during the construction period and beyond.
