First Formers Attend Orientation Exercise This Week
Students entering the Montserrat Secondary School in September are receiving a big boost to their preparations.
The students are attending the annual orientation exercise, organized by the Legislative Department to help with their transition.
On Wednesday they were thrilled to interact with past and present members of parliament including Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell, former Premier the honourable Donaldson Romeo and former minister of education Delmaude Ryan who spoke to them about working as part of team.
Former teacher at the MSS Denise Silcott spoke about different learning styles, while Tricia Meade, a Social Studies and Geography teacher at the MSS addressed time management.
Deryl Skerrit shared information to help the students the transition, what to expect, scheduling and the timetable.
Other speakers include Principal Tony Allen, Vice Principal Hyacinth Bramble Browne and former Minister of Education Adelina Tuitt.

The orientation ends on Friday with a hike along the Oriole trail and a beach picnic.
