Island Could Expect to See Stable Electricity Soon
Residents could soon have a stable supply of electricity across the island.
Deputy Premier Dr Samuel Joseph says currently the 750KW Solar plant in Lookout is not connected to the grid at the Montserrat Utilities Limited.. MUL’s power station due to synchronization issues between the two.
On top of that, the generators at the power plant in Brades are under eminence pressure and experiences periodical failure, causing a disruption in the electricity supply.
Speaking on the “Let’s Talk” radio programme, Dr Joseph said the parts, to include have been shipped and are expected on island soon.
Meanwhile Dr. Joseph is hoping negotiations could be wrapped up soon on the purchasing of two new generators for the power company.
