Bank of Montserrat Makes Several Contributions to Local Organizations

Montserrat’s lone indigenous financial institution is continuing its support for the education of the island’s children

Bank of Montserrat Ltd is making several contributions to local institutions for this cause.

Bank of Montserrat has already delivered on its pledge of EC$2000 to the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Primary School’s recent Radiothon.

The private school held the fundraiser on July 2 to help defray costs due to a shortfall in its usual contributions.

General manager of Bank of Montserrat Limited, Baldwin Taylor, says St. Augustine Roman Catholic Primary School is a critically important institution in providing a positive environment for the island’s children.

He emphasized that Bank of Montserrat is committed to ensuring they can continue to serve.

At the recent graduation ceremony for the Montserrat Secondary School’s Class of 2022, the bank sponsored the awards for Top Student Vashirn Roache, as well as Top Business and IT student Mikayla Cole.

The bank’s Senior Manager, Kathyan Fenton, presented the cash awards to the students at the ceremony held on Wednesday, July 6 at the Montserrat Cultural Centre .

Bank of Montserrat has also made contributions to the school leaving ceremonies for both Brades Primary and Lookout Primary schools.

The bank also contributes to education-related activities from other institutions throughout the year.
