The Government of Montserrat Seeks Ways to Cushion the Hardships Placed on Residents by Soaring Fuel Prices

The Government of Montserrat continues to search for the best solution to alleviate persons affected by high fuel prices on island.

While acknowledging that there is an increase in gas prices globally, Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell says his Government will continue to work to find ways to assist the general public.

He was at the time responding to a question posed by leader of the Parliamentary Opposition, Honourable Paul Lewis in Tuesday’s sitting of the Legislative Assembly.

According to the latest price chart issued by the Trade and Quality Infrastructure Division, premium gas retails for $19.73 while regular gas retails at $16.05. Diesel is being sold at $16.06.
