Department of Agriculture to Grow Own Produce

The Department of Agriculture is looking to get involved in improving food security here.

A plot of land in Duck Pond, belonging to the department,is being prepared for produce such as citrus and plantains, so that the island can be self-sustainable.

Acting Director of Agriculture, Dr. Selwyn Maloney, says it is important for the department to lead by example, as well as provide a learning experience for farmers.
