Major Changes or Shifts in the New National Curriculum Framework for Schools in Montserrat
There will be major changes or shifts in the new national curriculum framework for schools in Montserrat.
For the first time there will be a comprehensive set of syllabuses to guide teachers in all of the core areas from early childhood education up to form three at the Montserrat Secondary School.
This is the recommendation of the team of consultants reviewing the school syllabuses.
Lead consultant Dr. Kamla Mungal says the new syllabuses are tailormade for Montserrat, reflecting its culture, hopes and aspirations.
She says they also focus on the children and how they are better prepared for the workplace.
