The Environmental Health Department Takes Action to Address the Issue of Expired Goods on Supermarkets’ Shelves

The government of Montserrat, through its Environmental Health Department has harkened to the call of residents to rid supermarkets of the scourge of expired goods on their shelves.

Environmental Health authorities are making a conscious effort to address the burning matter of supermarkets on island offering these expired goods for sale to the public.

This has been a major concern for residents who have gone public to raise the matter on radio and on social media and have asked government to do something in the interest of public health.

A such, environmental Health teams have been visiting supermarkets and removing expired goods from shelves.
