Government Puts Measures in Place to Save Social Security
Montserrat’s leader of government business says his administration is putting measures in place, aimed at saving the Social Security Fund from imminent collapse.
A recent actuarial review concluded that on the its current trajectory, with no meaningful support, the fund could be exhausted by 2025.
Responding to a question posed by leader of the Opposition, Honourable Paul Lewis in the Legislative Assembly Tuesday, as to when the government will make an initial injection, Premier, the Honourable Joseph Farrell said that while they could not give a timeline for its intervention, the process was well underway.
