Students at the Montserrat Community College Encouraged to Maintain the High Standard of Good Academic Performance Achieved Over the Years

Principal Geraldine Cabey has called on students at the Montserrat Community College to maintain the high standard of academic good performance achieved over the years.

Mrs Cabey says for six straight years the college attained a pass rate of over 90 percent in the Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examinations, administered by CXC.

Speaking at the opening of the new academic year on Monday this week, the principal revealed that the performance by the students in 2021 exceeded those in the previous year.

She credited much of that success to the excellent work of the faculty.

Mrs Cabey was proud of the fact that within one work week of receiving the grades from the Caribbean Examination Council, the college was ready for lectures.

She said this was done within the context of the ongoing pandemic, and in a face to face setting, something that some colleges have not achieved.
