Montserrat's Premier Seeks Further Assistance from the UK Government to Help Suffering Residents in the COVID-19 Climate
Premier the Honourable Joseph Farrell is calling for more assistance from the United Kingdom Government.
He acknowledged that Montserrat had received 3.5 million pounds for its initial Covid-19 stimulus package.
However, addressing British Officials this week at the start of the 2021 budget talks, he stated that persons are still suffering as a result of the pandemic.
Meantime Deputy Director at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Colleen Wainwright noted that Montserrat is facing ongoing challenges.
