The Land Development Authority Cautions Against Emotional Submissions on the Crucial Sand Mining Issue

Manager of the Lands Development Authority (LDA) Franklyn Greenaway is appealing to stakeholders to take the emotion out of the debate on the extension of sand mining areas here.

Mr. Greenaway recognizes that some persons are passionate on the issue of mining sites.

His comments were made on the latest “MALHE Vybes” programme on Radio Montserrat.

The Planning and Development Authority is continuing consultations on the proposed modification to the Physical Development Plan for North Montserrat as it relates to the zoning of lands in Upper Belham and Fort Ghaut in the Plymouth to allow for sand mining.
