The Resurgence of the Oriole Has One Wildlife Officer Overjoyed

A Wildlife expert is praising the conservation work that has been done to protect Montserrat’s national bird, the Oriole.

James Scriber Daley says there has been a resurgence of the oriole, after it almost faced extinction in the early days of the volcanic crisis.

Daley, in an interview with ZJB News owes this to the conservation practices carried out by the Department of Environment.

Daley is calling for more action to bring awareness to one of the island’s national symbols.
