Minister of Agriculture Honourable Crenston Buffonge Says Government is Not Hindering Sand Mining Expansion

Minister of Agriculture the Honourable Crenston Buffonge is asking miners to be patient as the process for adjusting the physical development plan comes to an end.

Minister Buffonge says contrary to what has been stated the government of Montserrat is not hindering sand miners from expanding their zones of operation.

The sand miners have proposed to expand their operations further up the Belham Valley or to relocate to Fort Ghaut in Plymouth.

Public consultations on the issues began in July and are due to conclude by the end of this month.
