Cavalla Hill Bypass Road Complete - Now Open
Good news for motorists who traverse the Cavala Hill to Barzey’s Road.
The Basic Needs Trust Fund, BNTF has announced that construction work on the bypass road is completed.
Cleaning up of the road and the verges were taking place today and it is expected that the road would have been fully opened to vehicular traffic as on Monday the 15th.
The BNTF states that in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Works it is pleased that they were able to assist the immediate communities of Cavalla Hill and Caines River with an all-weather access road.
Other direct beneficiaries are the communities of Barzeys, Dyer Piece and those further North.
This road project was funded by the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the Government of Montserrat (GoM) under the 9th Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF) Programme.
The cost of this sub-project was approximately 500,000.00 EC dollars.
The BNTF office wishes all road users a safer and improved experience and expresses appreciation to the public for their patience during the construction period.
