Farmers Asked to Increase Food Production in Response to COVID-19

Minister of Agriculture Crenston Buffonge says the status quo is that the island has food supplies to last up to the end of April.

Speaking during the government arranged press conference, the Agriculture minister says they are aware of the concerns about the island’s food supply going forward and are in talks with farmers about increasing food production.

He says there are definite provisions to ensure that the island has sufficient food supplies to meet local demands.
