Ferry Operations to Resume Wednesday

Good news for the travelling public.

Ferry Operations are expected to resume on Wednesday.

The Access Division, in a statement released on Monday said the ferry would depart Antigua on Wednesday at 4: 00p.m and normal service will resume on Thursday morning at 6:00a.m. from Montserrat to Antigua.

Strong winds have caused hazardous sea conditions which led to the cancellation of the Jaden Sun ferry service since Friday.

The howling winds are expected to continue across much of the Caribbean Basin through Tuesday.

The winds have since decreased to the range of 16 to 25 mph over land with gusts 36 mph possible for some areas.

Wave heights have also decreased from 2.5 to over 4 metres or 8 to 14 feet, to 2.1 to 3.1 metres or 7 to 10 feet.
