Civil Service Association Plans debating Competition in November

The Montserrat Civil Service Association (MCSA) continues activities to empower and recognize youth on Montserrat.

 As part of the MCSA’s mandate to provide one Learning and Development Opportunity per quarter for youth within the Montserrat community, the organization is planning a Debating Competition, which will be conducted in November.

 The debate will be an opportunity for youth to gain broad and multifaceted knowledge cutting across varying disciplines outside of the regular academic framework for youth;  Increase confidence, poise and self esteem; Develop effective speech composition and delivery; Enhance youths' analytical, research, and documenting skills;  and Improve youths' ability to form balanced, informed arguments and to use reasoning and evidence.
