Police Warns Against Sweets Laced with Marjuana

The Royal Montserrat Police Service (RMPS) says a young man is in custody assisting with investigations pertaining to a number of confectioneries that were found in his possession.

A senior cop says it appears as though the sweet-like items are mixed with what seems to be marijuana….and may be circulating on island.

The RMPS is appealing to parents to have conversations with their children about buying, sharing or even receiving sweets from persons in the community

It explained that the colourful wrap on the confectioneries could be attractive to children and the concern would be that if consumed there could very well be some health concerns.

The RMPS is urging parents to carefully talk to their children about who they take things from so as to guard against this scourge.
