Government of Montserrat Appoints New Head of Program Management Office
The Programme Management Office (PMO) here has a new head.
He is Martin Parlett.
A Government of Montserrat press release says Parlett will take up his new role on April 1st.
It says Parlett has wide experience, currently managing the establishment of the Enterprise Portfolio Office together with the portfolio and programme management framework, for a government subsidiary in the UK.
Parlett, who will be accompanied by his wife Lydia and their 2 daughters, says he is looking forward to participating in island life while on Montserrat.
When asked about this new opportunity, he says, it is with great pride and enthusiasm that he accepts the position of Head of Programme Management Office for the Government of Montserrat.
He adds that this role emerges at a threshold moment for the Emerald Isle, and he looks forward to building a dynamic and strategically-driven PMO to maximize the Government’s return on investment, whilst enabling the effective execution of transformational programmes for the benefit of all Montserratians.
Parlett says he is also looking forward to collaborating with colleagues across government departments and beyond to build a sustainable path for successful project, programme and portfolio delivery, building confidence for new investments in the future.
Parlett takes over from Carl Gomersall, who was fired from the position in September 2019.
