Ministry of Communications Works Energy and Labour Rolls Out Training in solar Panel Installation

Montserrat’s energy minister says one of the many phases of knowledge exchange that is included in the island’s Sustainable Energy Programme is being rolled out.

Paul Lewis says that through the Labour Department in the Ministry of Communications, Works, Labour and Energy, the technical knowledge of installing solar panels and other ancillary installations are taking place over a two-day period.

In an interview with ZJB News, Mr. Lewis says the owner of Salt Energy, Chuck Mayer, is on island to facilitate the training involving key members of the community who have expressed an interest in the initiative.

The Florida Keys-based Salt Energy is the supplier, designer and installer of the solar system here.
