Turner Crowned Miss Montserrat 2019

Janet Turner is Miss Montserrat 2019/2020. The 22 one year old captured the crown in the closely contested competition at Carnival City on Saturday night.

1st runner up went to Stevika Rodney who also walked away with the awards for Best Swimwear, Best in Swimwear, Best Research Presentation, Best Evening Wear and Best in Evening Wear. Jo Diaz Tye was adjudged 2nd runner up, taking home the Prize for Miss Photogenic which was not judged.

First Runner Up and Best Evening Wear Winner Stevika Rodney

The other delegates were Francis Detouche whose costume creation titled La vie en Rose by Chad Cumberbatch was pronounced Best Costume. She also walked away with the prize for Best in Costume. Wejana Weekes captured the award for best performing talent for her saxophone rendition.

Miss Montserrat Janet Turner, who is now 15, 000 dollars richer as a result of her success in the pageant says the road to victory was arduous. She said it is her desire to make Montserrat proud.
