Premier thanks PM Gaston Browne

Premier, the Honorable Donaldson Romeo has reacted to the decision by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to award 10 scholarships for Montserratians to attend the UWI 4th landed campus.

Premier Romeo says the recent announcement by Prime Minister, Gaston Browne, is another demonstration of his commitment to assist the people of Montserrat and that this opportunity will be beneficial for Montserratians and the development of Montserrat going forward.

The Cabinet in Antigua announced on Thursday plans to offer 10 Scholarships to  the UWI Five Island Campus to each of the six countries in the OECS, including Montserrat, in order to attract citizens from the member-states starting from the September 2020 semester.

The sixty students from the OECS would enjoy a tuition-only scholarship, leaving them to meet other expenses connected to pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the three disciplines now offered by the UWI Fourth Landed Campus.
