MV Jaden Sun Will Continue To Provide Ferry Services For Montserrat

The MV Jaden Sun will continue to provide ferry services to and from Montserrat.

The announcement follows the signing of a one-year contract between the Government of Montserrat and the Jaden Sun Inc last Wednesday.

The MV Jaden Sun was deemed the successful bidder from amongst three tenders after a 2 months procurement process.

Under the contractual agreement, MV Jaden Sun will operate its services between Montserrat and Antigua under the guidance of the Access Division. 

The contract also makes provisions for occasional trips to neighbouring islands and for a shadowing programme for local individuals who wish to be trained in the field. 

Individuals interested in this programme should contact the Access Coordinator, Mr. Ashley Lindsey who will make the necessary arrangements with the Captain.

Jaden Sun which is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and is captained by Mr. Elvis Gooding has a passenger capacity of 218.

The current Ferry contract ends on, September 30th, 2018.
