MP Calls For Update on Government's Free Text Book Initiative

A Member of Parliament is calling on the Ministry of Education to provide an update on the government’s free text book initiative for public schools.

Member of the Parliamentary Opposition Dr. Samuel Joseph says parents have questions about the programmers that need to be addressed.

He outlined what some of these concerns are.

Dr. Joseph says he supports the free text book initiative as it will help to reduce the financial burden on parents.

The Ministry of Education said it has already started the process of procuring the books.
