Parliamentary Secretary to Attend Caribbean Forum on Youth and Development
Honourable Parliamentary Secretary Gregory Willock will be attending the Caribbean Forum on Population, Youth and Development in Guyana next week.
The July 24th to the 26th forum will combine the review of National Youth Policies to mark the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Lisbon Declaration on Youth Policies and Programmes, and the Caribbean’s preparatory meeting for the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The agenda includes an outlook on youth development in the Caribbean, A review of the implementation of the Montevideo Consensus on Population and Development and discussion of national experiences.
Some other focus points are Youth policies and programmes in the Caribbean: frameworks for follow-up and review, mobilizing young people in the response to the 2030 Agenda, Thematic sessions on issues affecting Caribbean youth, Youth involvement in development frameworks and Thematic sessions on population, youth and development issues.
