Environment Ministers Agree on Unified Approach to Tackle Climate Change Issues
OECS ministers of the environment, who met here this week, have come up with an action plan to deal with the sargasum sea weed issue.
Grenada’s Minister of the Environment Simon Steel says the islands have decided to address the problem collectively, as the influx of sargassum is having had a serious impact on coastal areas from a health, environment and economic standpoint.
New Chairman, Montserrat’s minister of Environment David Osborne, says the ministers also discussed giving aid to the worst affected islands.
