Head of Procurement Resigns

The outgoing Head of Procurement within the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management has listed the introduction of the Early Market Engagement as one of his achievements during his tenure.

Bashir credits the implementation of this approach to improving the departments understanding of the market allowing for better development of final specifications.

He provides examples of projects where the Pre-market engagement would have been utilized. 

ZJB News reported on Friday that Mr. Tariq Bashir ended his stint with the department mid way through his 36 month contract which was due to end next year.
