Consume Wild Meat, says Agriculturalist
A local agriculturalist is promoting the practice of organic or wild meat consumption as a means of helping to reduce the number of feral animals on Montserrat.
Justin Hero Cassell says agoutis, iguanas, rats and wild fowl are causing a major threat to crop production on island, causing significant losses to farmers and threatening food security.
He suggests consuming the wild meat as a way to control the pests which, according to him, have practically driven a substantial number of local farmers out of production.
