Montserrat’s Child Safeguarding Programme Given the Nod

Montserrat’s Child Safeguarding Programme has come in for high praise in the United Kingdom.

Liberal Democrat Baroness Floella Benjamin of Beckenham in Kent singled out Montserrat as one of the few Overseas Territories making great progress in the area of Child Protection.

Baroness Benjamin made the remarks in a recent presentation to the House of Lords.

She called on the British Government to give its full commitment to combating violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation against children in Commonwealth countries.
