Remuneration for Auditor General Remain Unsettled
The Honourable premier Donaldson Romeo has confirmed that the government is yet to adequately remunerate the Auditor General as prescribed in the Montserrat Constitution.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly last Wednesday, Mr. Romeo revealed that the matter was being held up in discussions between the Attorney General Chambers and the legal representatives of the Auditor General.
Prodded by the honourable Leader of the Opposition Easton Farrell Taylor, Mr. Romeo indicated that he is powerless at this time to move the process forward.
