Police Launch Engine to be Repaired Shortly

The police launch MV Heliconia Star could be back to full strength in a matter of weeks.

The fast patrol vessel has a technical issue with one of its engines and has been operating at less than optimal level since.

Technical Advisor Nick Gladwell says there have been discussions with the manufacturer about replacing vital parts in the problematic engine.

Mr. Gladwell says, although partially incapacitated, the Heliconia Star can still do patrols.

Gladwell, is based in Southampton, and is a member of the Society of Consulting Marine Engineers and Surveyors.
