The new minimum wage will safeguard families and help drive the economy.
That is the perspective of Minister for Labour, Deputy Premier Veronica Dorsette Hector.
In making her contribution to the budget debate Honourable Dorsette Hector stated that the new wage floor of 12 dollars and 50 cents is not designed to punish anyone but to ensure that working people are protected, and are given fair wages for fair work.
