Deputy Premier Attends for Telecommunications Conference
Deputy Premier, Dr. the Honourable Samuel Joseph is currently in the UK attending the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization CTO Ministerial Alliance for Digital Nations 2023.
A post by the Ministry of Communications Works Labour and Energy states that the CTO’s inaugural Ministerial Alliance for Digital Nations 2023 is dedicated to affordable universal broadband connectivity.
The meeting takes place from 21–22 February under the theme “Addressing ICT issues for Commonwealth Nations”.
One of the main objectives is to educate, inform and enlighten on the concerns and challenges being faced by Commonwealth countries in achieving affordable universal broadband connectivity.
Providing cogent responses to the concerns expressed and explaining technology solutions that can contribute to affordable universal broadband connectivity, another major objective, along with facilitating facilitating discourse and engagement between governments and industry for initiating meaningful action.
Expected to be in audience at the Ministerial Alliance are Government ICT and telecommunications ministers, senior ICT policy makers and regulators, C-level executives of ICT organisations, heads of international and regional organisations and many others.
The CTO Forum is taking place at the Carlton House Terrace, London, United Kingdom."
