One of the key outcomes of CHOGM was the adoption of a Declaration on Cybersecurity which commits to: A cyberspace that supports economic and social development and rights online Build the foundations of an effective national cyber security response Promote stability in cyberspace through international cooperation.
The June 18th to 20th meeting attending by the Minister and his team will therefore review the outcomes of the CHOGM, specifically as it relates to the implementation plan for the next two years, which is envisaged to proceed through partnerships that focus on increasing cooperation, knowledge transfer, legislative reform, and capacity building.
The session will also discuss the themes for capacity building which were outlined within the Declaration and how this will be achieved.
