A special piece of Montserrat’s musical history is being brought back to life!

As part of a new exhibit at the National Museum of Montserrat, the black Ludwig drum kit—once played by Stewart Copeland of ‘The Police’ and used for years at the Cultural Centre—has been carefully restored for an AIR Studios era display.

A few pieces, including an 8” Black Ludwig snare drum, its unique stand, and some cymbals and fittings, are still out in the community. If you happen to have them, we’d love for them to make their way back to the museum in Little Bay (the pink building next to the new financial services building). If it’s after hours, they can be left safely on the museum porch.

Thank you, Montserrat, for helping keep this incredible musical legacy alive!
