Montserrat Arts Council urges Early Registration for St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Slave Feast

The Montserrat Arts Council is urging early registration for the St. Patrick’s Day parade and slave feast. Marketing Officer at MAC Jayesh Sadwhani says a number of prizes will be handed out throughout the parade, which traditionally is a major highlight of the celebration. He is also encouraging businesses to register. Meantime, a resident and one of the original members of the St Patrick’s organizing committee when it was first conceptualized, has called for harmonization between private and cultural events.  Fredville Brown, speaking on the Let’s Talk radio programme last week, suggested that both entities should work together to take advantage of the opportunity to bring residents back to Montserrat and help build the local economy further.
